Mehriban Imanova, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Science Development Foundation, participated in the 13th Annual Meeting of the 13th Annual Global Research Council Meeting in Riyadh.

The meeting focused on global research coordination, sustainable financing mechanisms and increased transparency in science governance.

The five-day event was scheduled to provide an opportunity for representatives from different countries to exchange views, share experiences, and hold dialogues on future cooperation opportunities. As part of her visit, Mehriban Imanova held meetings with the Presidents of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) of Saudi Arabia.

The meetings explored enhancing scientific cooperation, implementing joint research programs, and exchanging experiences in innovation and technology.

The sides hailed the opportunities for joint efforts towards the globalization of science and the fostering of regional partnerships.
