An event entitled "The vital role of women building alliances for empowerment" was held on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, co-organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The event focused on women`s empowerment and enhancing international cooperation.
Addressing the event, Bahar Muradova, the Chairperson of the State Committee, highlighted the progress made to protect women's rights and expand their participation in Azerbaijan`s public and political life. She emphasized that the government programmes were promoting women’s leadership, economic empowerment and participation in decision-making processes.
Bahar Muradova also underscored the importance of women's empowerment in strengthening the family, ensuring the stability of society and sustaining the development of nations.
