Azerbaijan Army holds "Best Military Orchestra" contest

According to the combat training plan approved by the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, the contest for the title of "Best Military Band" was held among the military orchestras of the types of troops, army corps, formations, military units and special military educational institutions, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

At the contest’s opening ceremony held at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the battles for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, was honored with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

The objective of the contest is to develop the moral-cultural values, to strengthen the patriotism, and to ensure a high level of combat spirit among the Azerbaijan Army's personnel.
