During his visit to the Sultanate of Oman, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture Adil Karimli met with Umberto Fanni, Director General and Artistic Director of the Royal Opera House Muscat.
At the meeting, Minister Karimli provided information on professional theater and opera art in Azerbaijan, highlighting the rich traditions established in this field.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the Royal Opera House Muscat and the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, as well as other theaters and concert institutions.
They also exchanged views on the possibility of staging the opera “Koroghlu” by the great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli at the Royal Opera House Muscat.
