Co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Union of Theater Workers, and the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater, a solemn event was held to mark the 153rd anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani professional national theater on March 10.

The event brought together theatre figures from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, as well as heads and representatives of leading theater organizations.

As part of the event, Minister of Culture Adil Karimli met with theater figures from Azerbaijan and other brotherly countries.

The Minister conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the National Theater Day, which holds a special place in Azerbaijan’s cultural calendar, highlighting the path of development of theater art in the country.

The minister emphasized that the 153-year-old Azerbaijani theater has contributed to the formation of the artistic environment of neighboring and friendly countries at different stages of history.
