On November 11, the presentation of the book “President” by writer and publicist, academician of the International Academy of Sciences Emil Nasirli, recently published in Azerbaijani and English, was held at the Natavan Club of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union.

Representatives of the state and government, deputies of the Milli Majlis, figures of science, ambassadors of Belarus, Tajikistan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia and other countries, diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan, guests from foreign countries, as well as representatives of the mass media took part in the event.

The event opened with an introductory speech by Salim Babullaoğlu, Head of the Department of International Relations and Translations of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union. He highly appreciated the recently published book “President” and shared his thoughts about it with the participants of the event. Afterwards, S. Babullaoğlu gave the floor to the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, People’s Writer Anar.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, People’s Writer Anar, noted that the book comprehensively reflects the purposeful policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the work carried out under his leadership in the direction of Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development.

“This work, written by writer and publicist Emil Nasirli, has important scientific and educational significance for a wide readership from the point of view of studying the modern history of Azerbaijan, promoting the ideas of statehood, and providing access to reliable sources,” he emphasized.

People’s Writer Anar also noted that Azerbaijan’s achievements and its authority in the international arena can be regarded as a strategic victory of President Ilham Aliyev. He stressed that the measures and global projects implemented under the leadership of the head of state serve the further development of the country and the protection of its national interests.

Then the Director of the “Encyclopedia” Publishing House, Academician of the International Academy of Sciences Fikret Nagiyev, delivered a speech. He highly appreciated the new publication — the book “President” published in Azerbaijani and English in an elegant design by Emil Nasirli, a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, academician of the International Academy of Sciences, writer and publicist — and noted that its presentation is an important event in the socio-political life of the country.

Emphasizing that President Ilham Aliyev is one of the historical figures who have played a special role in the history of Azerbaijan, Fikret Nagiyev noted that the new book reflects important facts about the life and activities of this outstanding personality. He stressed that the author of the book, Emil Nasirli, vividly and comprehensively reflects the grand and large-scale activities of Ilham Aliyev during the period from 2003 to 2025. According to him, the publication will make an important contribution to the wider dissemination of the truth about Azerbaijan in Azerbaijani and English in various countries.

Fikret Nagiyev congratulated the author of the book, Emil Nasirli, on creating such a significant work, which embodies the unity of the civic position of an intellectual and a state-oriented way of thinking. He wished him new creative successes and noted that since 2004 Emil Nasirli has been the editor-in-chief of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan.” In 2021 he was elected an academician of the International Academy of Sciences, in 2024 — an academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and since 2025 he has been an academician of the Asian Academy of Sciences. In 2022 he was awarded the “Golden Badge” of the Azerbaijani branch of the International Academy of Sciences. In addition to being a member of the Azerbaijan Journalists’ Union, he is also a member of the Writers’ Unions of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus and Georgia. Emil Nasirli is the author of 12 books as well as more than 100 substantial articles published in leading scientific journals of domestic and foreign publishing houses.

Then Fikret Nagiyev gave the floor to the author of the book “President” — writer and publicist Emil Nasirli.

Speaking at the event, Emil Nasirli noted that his book “President” reflects the exceptional activities of President Ilham Aliyev — the worthy continuer of the political course of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, a statesman who marked the beginning of a new and grand stage in the modern history of Azerbaijan, whose name and deeds have become a symbol of the country’s Victory.

The book highlights his outstanding role in strengthening the modern Azerbaijani state and restoring sovereignty, implementing large-scale domestic reforms, pursuing a purposeful foreign policy strategy, as well as achievements in socio-political, socio-economic, scientific, educational, cultural, medical, religious, military, sports and other spheres.

“This book will play an important role in conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the world community,” emphasized Emil Nasirli, adding that the interesting facts, events and assessments presented in the publication provide a broad understanding of the activities of the President of Azerbaijan.

Continuing his remarks, the author noted that there have been many outstanding personalities in the history of the Azerbaijani people. However, it is an indisputable fact that such a historical figure of the 21st century is President Ilham Aliyev. As a writer and publicist who set himself the goal of revealing the secret of how a person, standing out among millions, becomes a great leader capable of leading a nation, he sought to cope with this task with dignity.

“I believe that through the power of my pen I have managed to convey the results intended for centuries that the perfect, large-scale, successful and majestic activity of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has brought to our people and state,” added Emil Nasirli.

The author also noted that the main content of the book consists of the political activity of President Ilham Aliyev aimed at the comprehensive development of independent Azerbaijan. As a result of the consistent and purposeful policy he has pursued for more than 22 years, the transitional stage in the economy has been completed, the foundations for the formation of civil society have been laid, the country’s strategic positions have been strengthened, its defense capability has increased, and Azerbaijan, having achieved socio-economic and spiritual-cultural development, has become a leading state in the region.

Today, Azerbaijan has formed a multicultural and tolerant environment that inspires admiration and receives high recognition throughout the world. At the core of all these achievements lies the state policy pursued by Ilham Aliyev in a consistent, dynamic and steadfast manner. All these aspects are reflected in detail in the book.

Emil Nasirli particularly emphasized that his work, based on scientific and journalistic sources, reflects the sustainable development strategy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the philosophy of governance based on national and spiritual values, cultural policy, conceptual approaches to youth policy, the development of relations with the Turkic world, as well as significant achievements in the field of the legal system, human rights protection, legislation, and the modernization of public administration in Azerbaijan.

In addition, the book highlights the historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War and the new political realities that emerged as a result, and also provides an opportunity to consistently trace the strategic vision and leadership concept of the head of state.

They noted that the book dedicated to the multifaceted activities of President Ilham Aliyev is a valuable source both for the Azerbaijani and the international community. The participants of the event emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev has achieved unprecedented successes in the history of Azerbaijan, and all these achievements are presented in the book at a high level.

It was also noted that the author examines the facts and events related to the activities of President Ilham Aliyev from a completely new perspective. The work clearly reveals new, interesting, vivid and pride-inspiring features of the large-scale activities of the head of state.

It was also emphasized that as long as the Azerbaijani state exists, these successful pages of history will continually be revisited, since throughout history the legacy of strong statesmen has always been returned to time and again.
