“Over the past six years, critical and historic developments have taken place between Azerbaijan and Israel. Relations between our peoples have deepened and entered a new phase,” said George Deek, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Azerbaijan, at a press conference marking the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.

“It is a special honor for me to be the first Israeli ambassador to visit Shusha. Israel has always been among the countries that support Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. We believe that true friendship is tested not only in easy times, but also in difficult ones. I will never forget the humane attitude shown by the Azerbaijani people,” the ambassador said.

He noted that Israeli-Azerbaijani relations have reached new heights in recent years.

“Cooperation in the fields of energy and security remains the main pillar of our bilateral ties, and I believe these relations will continue to grow in the coming years. One of our key goals for 2025 is to ensure that 50,000 Israeli tourists visit Azerbaijan,” the diplomat emphasized.
