As part of her working visit to Geneva, Switzerland, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, met with Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Milli Majlis and the IPU.
Speaker Gafarova hailed the current state of collaboration, fondly recalling her previous meetings with the IPU leadership during international events.
Both sides highlighted the successful organization of the parliamentary conference held as part of COP29 in Azerbaijan last year, co-hosted by the IPU and the Milli Majlis, as a key milestone in their partnership.
