On August 9, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov.
Minister Saidov sincerely congratulated Azerbaijan on the agreements reached with the United States during President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the U.S., as well as on the historic achievements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.
The ministers emphasized the significant importance of the signed documents for ensuring peace and stability in the region. The initialing of the peace treaty and the joint call for the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures were highlighted as important contributions to the peace process.
They also discussed issues arising from the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, including plans for implementing agreements reached within multilateral cooperation.
