A meeting was held between Azerbaijan's telecommunications and postal services regulator – the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA), and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) on the margins of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25) in Baku.
During the meeting, Nail Mardanov, Chairman of the ICTA Board, briefed the Australian delegation on the activities of the agency.
The ACMA representatives hailed Azerbaijan’s excellent organization of the WTDC-25 Conference, describing the event as being of great importance in backing Australia’s membership bid for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for 2026.
The meeting also addressed prospects for collaboration, including opportunities for sharing expertise.
