On March 5, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov made a phone call to Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the call, concern was expressed over the drone attacks on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan originating from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Minister Bayramov provided detailed information on the attacks, stating that the assault on Azerbaijan’s territory constitutes a violation of international law and serves to escalate tensions in the region.
He emphasized that Azerbaijan demands the Iranian side provide clear explanations and take urgent measures to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
