On March 11, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Thomas Konietzko, President of the International Canoe Federation, and Jean Zoungrana, President of the European Canoe Association, in Baku.
PM Ali Asadov highlighted that sports development is a key priority of Azerbaijan’s state policy and outlined efforts to promote water sports, particularly rowing, in the country.
The sides also stressed the significance of the memorandum of understanding to be signed between the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation and the European Canoe Association.
The guests expressed that they were deeply impressed by Azerbaijan’s initiatives to develop sports and the favorable conditions provided for rowing.
