Azerbaijani and Uzbek FMs discuss situation in Middle East

On March 20, Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a telephone conversation.

During the call, the ministers discussed cooperation stemming from the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as the security situation in the Middle East.

The sides expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the region, emphasizing that military escalation poses a serious threat not only to regional security but also to global stability. They underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to restore stability.

The ministers also exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the holy Ramadan and Novruz holidays, wishing further strengthening of unity and cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Uzbek peoples and their countries.

The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
