Azerbaijani astronomer conducts scientific research at NASA

Famil Mustafa, an Azerbaijani astrophysicist and employee of the Nasreddin Tusi Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, who also serves as the Director of the Tusi-Bohm Planetarium, is currently conducting scientific research at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in the United States. He is participating in this research within the framework of the international "SCOSTEP Visiting Scholar" (SVS) program.

The key focus of the research is the study of Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) from the Sun and their impact on Earth, specifically their connection to geomagnetic activity.

Famil Mustafa's research at NASA contributes to expanding Azerbaijan's opportunities for international cooperation in the fields of solar-terrestrial physics and space weather.
