Azerbaijan's contributions to energy security in spotlight of London conference

The 3rd London Energy Security Conference of the Caspian Policy Center (CPC) was held in London.

The first panel of the conference on "Energy Security: Navigating new realities" was attended by ambassadors and diplomats of the regional countries in the UK.

Addressing the event, Efgan Nifti, CEO of the Caspian Policy Center, highlighted the strategic importance of the geopolitical, economic and energy-related changes in the South Caucasus and the Caspian Basin over the past year.

Gunel Salimova, Counsellor at Azerbaijan’s Embassy in the UK, highlighted the country's contributions to Europe's energy security and the strategic importance of the Southern Gas Corridor.

The expert panels included presentations made by Charles Hendry, former UK Minister for Energy and Climate Change, former UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy for Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, and specialists from organizations, companies and research centers such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Methinks, and Nefte Compass.
