Azerbaijan’s State Civil Aviation Agency, ICAO sign training services agreement

An agreement on training services has been signed between the State Civil Aviation Agency of Azerbaijan and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The agreement was inked on the margins of the 5th Global Implementation Support Symposium of ICAO in Marrakech, Morocco.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation, led by Samir Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, held bilateral meetings with ICAO officials, including President of the ICAO Council Toshiyuki Onuma and Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar.

The meeting focused on the development of the aviation sector in Azerbaijan, as well as existing cooperation with ICAO, including the ACT-SAF program on sustainable aviation fuels and the Alat Green Airport initiative.

The Azerbaijani delegation also met Abdessamad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics of Morocco. The discussions addressed transport issues of mutual concern and ways to enhance cooperation.

The officials stressed the importance of launching regular flights and developing air connectivity between the two countries.
