As part of his visit to Spain, Elnur Aliyev, Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy, held meetings with the heads of several companies and financial institutions.
The meeting featured an exchange of views on expanding economic and trade relations with Spain, promoting investment cooperation, export financing opportunities, as well as implementing joint projects.
During a meeting with Pablo de Ramón-Laca Clausen, Executive President of the Spanish Export Credit Agency (CESCE), the sides discussed export credits, insurance mechanisms, access to financial resources for Azerbaijani business entities for the import of Spanish equipment, and prospects for cooperation with the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund (ABDF).
The parties highlighted the importance of expanding entrepreneurs' access to international financial instruments.
Subsequently, Elnur Aliyev met with Manuel Contreras Caro, current President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grupo Azvi.
He briefed Manuel Contreras Caro on transit and logistics potential of Azerbaijan, major infrastructure projects in the country, and the prospects for cooperation with foreign partners in this regard.
The sides reviewed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of transport, infrastructure, and engineering.
Elnur Aliyev also met with Juan Sebastián Garrigues Díaz-Llanos, Chief Executive Officer of “Fomento al Desarrollo del Comercio Internacional SL.”
The discussions revolved around the development of trade relations, promotion of investments, expansion of partnerships between private sectors, and support for new business initiatives.
