A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mamedova spoke with Bulgarian international relations expert Stanislav Bachev about the prospects for trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
Noting the growing potential for bilateral cooperation, Bachev emphasized that, amid global geopolitical changes, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are acquiring increasingly important strategic significance as a link between regions.
The expert also noted that the Middle Corridor opens up additional opportunities for Bulgaria to participate in the transportation of goods from China to Europe as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. He stated that this route is becoming an important part of the new global architecture of trade and logistics links. The program's interviewee noted that promising areas of cooperation between the countries could include the chemical and food industries, the production of household appliances, and the development of the Azerbaijani fertilizer industry with access to the European market via Bulgaria.
According to Bachev, mutual investment and cooperation in the industrial and military-technical spheres can play an important role in expanding cooperation.
