On July 22, Shusha once again hosted the Vagif Poetry Days, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Union of Azerbaijani Writers.

The event was attended by Aydin Karimov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district; Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture; representatives of state and government bodies; and prominent scientific and cultural figures.

Anar, Chairman of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers and People's Writer, emphasized that hosting the Vagif Poetry Days in Shusha for the fifth time is a significant cultural milestone. He noted that the continuity of the event reflects the high value placed on Azerbaijani culture.

Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, underscored in her speech that poetry - one of the shared values of the Turkic world - connects people beyond time and borders.

Following the speeches, the winners of the "Letter to Vagif" essay contest were announced. An AZERTAC correspondent won first place. The award ceremony honored winners with diplomas and monetary prizes.

As part of the Poetry Days, a variety of literary and artistic programs will be held across Shusha’s historical and cultural landmarks, including poetry readings, book exhibitions and presentations, musical compositions, scientific conferences, theater performances, and more. These events will take place at notable venues such as the Museum-Mausoleum Complex of Molla Panah Vagif restored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the House of Natavan, the Garabagh Hotel, and the Mehmandarovs’ Estate.
