“The modern university model, as exemplified by the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University, has been successfully applied in various countries around the world. This university was the first of its kind, and plans are currently underway to establish a similar institution in Jordan,” said Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) of Türkiye.
He noted that discussions have been held with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding the establishment of the Türkiye-Jordan University. Following these negotiations, a memorandum of understanding was signed.
Erol Özvar described the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University model as “an important opportunity to enhance the international reputation of Turkish universities.” He also noted that Türkiye’s centralized university entrance exam (TR-YÖS) will soon be available in nearly 100 countries worldwide.
