In an exclusive conversation with AZERTAC, the renowned Pakistani expert in international relations, Khalid Taimur Akram, shared his reflections on the friendship among Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Pakistan, emphasizing that it stands today as one of the strongest and most sincere partnerships in the world.
According to him, the deep connection between the three nations goes far beyond diplomatic formalities. “It is a bond rooted in faith, culture, and mutual respect,” he noted. “Our countries stand together in both good and difficult times, united not by temporary interests but by honesty and trust.”
He underlined that the well-known expression “one nation, two states”, describing the relationship between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, truly captures their unique unity. “Their languages, traditions, and history are intertwined,” he explained, “and their people see each other as one family. Pakistan also shares this brotherly feeling — we have always stood shoulder to shoulder with our Azerbaijani and Turkish brothers.”
Reflecting on Azerbaijan’s struggle to restore its territorial integrity, Akram recalled that both Türkiye and Pakistan firmly supported Baku’s rightful cause. “They raised their voices for justice and stood with Azerbaijan with courage and sincerity,” he said. “Azerbaijan has never forgotten this support and continues to express deep gratitude to its Turkish and Pakistani brothers.”
Speaking about the Victory Parade held on 8 November 2025 in Baku, which marked the fifth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s victory in the Patriotic War, Khalid Taimur Akram described it as a historic and deeply emotional event. He emphasized that the presence of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, together with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, carried powerful symbolism.
“The image of our three nations standing together on Freedom Square sent a clear message to the world,” he said. “It showed that our friendship is not defined by politics but by shared values and genuine brotherhood. When the national anthems of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Pakistan played and their flags waved side by side, everyone present could feel immense pride and unity.”
Khalid Taimur Akram noted that the parade was more than a demonstration of military strength — it was a celebration of solidarity, faith, and mutual respect. “For Azerbaijan, having Türkiye and Pakistan by its side means more than friendship — it means family,” he observed. “For Türkiye and Pakistan, Azerbaijan’s victory is also their victory. This is what true brotherhood among nations looks like.”
The Pakistani expert further highlighted that cooperation among the three nations now extends across numerous fields — including education, defense, trade, and culture. “Each year, he added, our partnership grows stronger. We help each other, respect each other, and work together for a shared future of peace and prosperity.”
In his concluding remarks, Khalid Taimur Akram stressed that the Victory Parade of 8 November 2025 symbolized far more than a military celebration. “It was a vivid expression of unity and a reminder that when nations stand together with sincerity and love, they can achieve anything,” he said.
“Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye,” Khalid Taimur Akram concluded, “are three countries with one heart and one dream. Their friendship shines as an example to the entire world — showing how true solidarity between nations can create peace, strength, and hope for the future.”
