A meeting of the Standing Committee on Budget and Planning of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) will be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on December 23-24.
The two-day event will bring together lawmakers from member parliaments, including Azerbaijan, to discuss and make exchange of views on the Assembly’s budgetary requirements, review financial reports, and evaluate recent developments related to the APA’s fiscal planning and resource management.
The draft resolution on APA's budget planning was adopted at the organization's 15th Plenary Session held in Baku.
Currently, the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) chairs the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which includes 43 countries from the region.
