Azerbaijanis around the world congratulate President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday
Today, the Azerbaijani people and Azerbaijanis across the globe celebrate the birthday of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ilham Aliyev. From the bottom of our hearts, we extend our sincere congratulations.
We – Azerbaijanis living far from our Homeland yet inseparably bound to it by heart and destiny—genuinely love our President. This is neither a gesture of formal loyalty nor a tribute to rhetoric; it is a statement of fact. As representatives of the intellectual community, we would like to reflect on the nature of this special bond with a leader who has embodied the unity of the people and the state in the image of the “Iron Fist”.
We feel particular pride when we hear President Ilham Aliyev speak flawlessly in his native language at national forums, and with the same freedom, precision, and persuasiveness address the international arena in foreign languages -Russian, English, and French. This linguistic and cultural multidimensionality is not merely a skill; it is a manifestation of state maturity and intellectual sovereignty.
We are inspired by the fact that he is a leader whose high culture, inner refinement, and civilized restraint dismantle entrenched Western stereotypes about Muslim countries, convincingly proving that modernity and tradition can coexist in harmony.
His confident stride, restrained charisma, sincerity, and that silent yet crystal-clear message - “I am Azerbaijan” – touch our hearts and give us a legitimate sense of national pride. The President’s speeches, combining deep love for the Motherland with a profound sense of responsibility, inspire us to be worthy citizens wherever we live and work.
We highly appreciate his attention to sports and his consistent efforts to involve society in an active and healthy lifestyle. It has long been proven that a healthy body nurtures a healthy spirit. It is no coincidence that Azerbaijan has become a venue for major international sporting events, strengthening not only the physical but also the moral resilience of the nation.
Today, our people need a strong spirit. The implementation of the large-scale “Great Return” program, launched after the liberation of lands that had remained under Armenian occupation for decades, requires iron will and inner discipline – qualities born precisely from such a spirit.
As he concludes his speeches, the President raises his right fist – a clear and unambiguous symbol of the country’s forward movement in economic, political, and cultural terms. This fist is clenched against those who attempt to destabilize Azerbaijan from outside, who finance internal intrigues and rely on local accomplices. It is clenched to block malicious intentions and subversive activity.
For more than thirty years, the President has devoted his life to the Homeland—essentially his entire youth, destiny, and path of service. On his birthday, we unite personal joy with the nationwide happiness of Victory in the Second Karabakh War. Thanks to our martyrs, our heroic army, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, a problem that had persisted for three decades was finally resolved during the 44-day Patriotic War.
We are rightfully proud of Azerbaijan and its President—the Conqueror of Karabakh. A leader who triumphed not only on the battlefield but also on the diplomatic front; who put in their place those who dared to occupy our land and fabricate fictitious “statehood”; who, by articulating firm and honest truth, became the voice of the sentiments of the entire Turkic world.
Azerbaijan is a country that has a son named Ilham Aliyev—a son who united the people around the state into a single fist, lifted the nation’s head toward the skies of Victory, and, together with brotherly Türkiye, inscribed a new and glorious chapter of history in golden letters.
To hear Qarabağ şikəstəsi in Shusha, to greet Khudafarin from Zangilan, to sing a lullaby to the Araz from Fuzuli and Jabrayil, to drink the healing waters of Istisu in Kalbajar—all this was our dream for thirty years. Thanks to our President, this dream has become reality.
Marking his 64th birthday, the President, together with First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, visits Khankendi and Karkijahan; earlier, during his visit to Zangezur, he sent symbolic messages to Yerevan from Gubadli—through the Hakari and Bargushad rivers. We believe that in the near future he will continue with the same determination along the route that connects Türkiye with Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan with Turkestan.
May the birthday of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief be blessed—the leader who bestowed upon all whose hearts beat with Azerbaijan the greatest gift: Victory in the Patriotic War for the liberation of Karabakh.
Thank you, Mr. President, for never forgetting Azerbaijanis living beyond the borders of the Homeland; for the spiritual strength of the state and the moral support you provide us.
Happy Birthday, Mr. President!
May your life be filled with happiness, and may our Azerbaijan always remain strong, confident, and full of hope.
