Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister meets Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister in Beijing

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, in Beijing on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two recalled the Deputy Prime Minister’s recent visit to Kabul and welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral ties, including enhanced diplomatic engagement, trade, and transit facilitation.

They agreed to work together to advance mutual interests, particularly in trade, transit, connectivity, and security.

Earlier, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi held an informal trilateral meeting in Beijing.
