Leading scientific and educational institutions from Turkic countries have joined forces to establish a collaborative platform: the Cognitive Linguistics Center of the Turkic States.

According to the ANAS Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi, a founding meeting was held for the newly established international scientific research institution, with participation from leading universities and linguistic institutes of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The primary goal of the Center is to coordinate the study of Turkic languages from cognitive and psycholinguistic perspectives under a unified framework.

Academician Shuhrat Sirojiddinov of Uzbekistan, who moderated the meeting, praised the Center’s role in promoting unity among Turkic languages, while representatives from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan highlighted their institutions’ commitment to supporting its work.

The discussion emphasized the importance of cognitive linguistics in contemporary global research and the value of creating a collaborative network among Turkic countries in this field.

The meeting concluded with the approval of the Center’s action plan and the scheduling of its next scientific session.
