Azerbaijan’s Janel Najafli honored at Italy’s “XVI Concorso Musicale”
Talented Azerbaijani violinist Janel Najafli has secured second place at the prestigious “XVI Concorso Musicale Città di Filadelfia” international music competition held in Italy.
Supported by Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Janel Najafli delivered a remarkable performance at the event. She is a previous recipient of the “Orpheus – Person of the Year 2020” award in the Czech Republic and is currently continuing her studies at the Conservatory of Plzen.
Najafli was one of only four performers selected to take part in the gala concert of the competition. During the concert, she performed “Chahargah,” a piece arranged for violin by Azerbaijani composer Azad Aliyev.
