Fourth Baku Piano Festival concludes with vibrant Brazilian music concert

A vibrant evening featuring Brazilian music by the Liz Rosa Quartet successfully concluded the two-week Baku Piano Festival 2025. The festival’s ceremonial closing took place at the Rotunda Roof Garden.

The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, cultural and artistic figures, Baku residents, city guests, and journalists.

Before the concert, Brazilian artists shared their impressions of participating in the festival with AZERTAC’s correspondent.

“The Baku Piano Festival is one of the most magnificent festivals. We participate in many festivals around the world, but we have never encountered such energy anywhere else. This is a different level of energy! We are very excited and very happy to be here,” the Brazilian artists told AZERTAC.

Highlighting that performing at the Baku Piano Festival holds special significance for her, the quartet’s lead singer, one of Brazil’s finest vocalists, Liz Rosa, noted: “This is my first time visiting Azerbaijan and this part of the world. The people here are very friendly—from the airport to this venue, we’ve been warmly welcomed everywhere we go. I feel at home here. I’m very happy to be here. Representing my country’s music here means a lot to me. I’m very excited before the concert!”

Shahin Novrasli, the director of the Baku Piano Festival, renowned jazz pianist, and Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, welcomed the guests and concluded the two-week festival. The jazz musician expressed his gratitude to all the sponsors, partners, and friends who supported the festival.

The 4th Baku Piano Festival continued from June 14 to 28, featuring artistic events, exhibitions, literary competitions, and sessions. The festival included performances by both Azerbaijani artists and renowned musicians from countries such as Austria, Brazil, Georgia, the Netherlands, Turkey, France, and others.

As part of “Baku Piano Festival 2025,” artistic events, exhibitions, literary competitions, and sessions were also organized. The festival particularly highlighted the young talents concert, “We Are the Future.”
