The 11th session of the Austrian-Azerbaijani Joint Commission on economic, agricultural, industrial, technical, and technological cooperation was held in Vienna.
Florian Frauscher, the Austrian Co-Chair of the Commission and Director General of the Department of Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism, highlighted the expanding economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov, who co-chaired the meeting, presented data on Azerbaijan’s macroeconomic performance over the past year and trade volumes between the two nations. He also spoke about the reconstruction and restoration efforts in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, noting that these areas have been designated as a “green energy zone.”
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Austria Rovshan Sadigbeyli also addressed the session, emphasizing Azerbaijan’s leading role and economic potential in the South Caucasus, as well as the positive political and economic relations with Austria.
The meeting concluded with the signing of the official protocol of the 11th session of the Joint Commission.
