Hikmet Hajiyev: Azerbaijan and Jordan enjoy deep-rooted ties at all levels and in all fields

“The relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan are strong and deep-rooted across various fields and at all levels,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, in an interview with the Jordan News Agency – PETRA.

Hajiyev described the close and ongoing mutual relations between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Jordan's King Abdullah II as the cornerstone of bilateral cooperation.

He also highlighted the significance of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II’s visit to Baku last year and his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of COP29, calling the discussions held during the visit an important and effective step toward further strengthening bilateral ties.

Hajiyev emphasized that the two countries continue to maintain close coordination on international platforms and share common positions on issues of mutual concern, including the Palestinian issue.
