Incoming Polish ambassador presents his credentials to Azerbaijani FM

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Paweł Radomski, newly appointed Ambassador of Poland to the country, on June 13.

The Polish ambassador presented his credentials to the Azerbaijani FM. Minister Bayramov congratulated Ambassador Radomski on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. They expressed confidence that the Polish diplomat would spare no efforts towards boosting relations between the two countries.

The officials hailed the current state of political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Poland, underscoring the role of reciprocal visits and mutual contacts in creating a fertile ground for steady development of bilateral relations.

They highlighted the significance of such mechanisms as the political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, the Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation, and the Interparliamentary working groups in systematic and multifaceted development of the Azerbaijan-Poland interstate relations.

The meeting stressed the importance of fully utilizing existing potential for cooperation in economy, conventional and green energy, transport and logistics, also touching upon stepping up collaboration and exchanges of expertise across humanitarian domains, including education, culture, youth and sports.

FM Bayramov provided an overview of the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, the post-conflict realities and developments. According to him, the negotiations on the peace agreement concluded in March of this year, pointing out the major barriers for signing the agreement, including the existing claims against Azerbaijan in Armenian Constitution and the abolishment of the obsolete and dysfunctional Minsk Group.

The meeting also addressed other regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual concern.
