Important meeting of Azerbaijani diaspora held in Hallein, Austria

The Azerbaijani House operating in Salzburg, Austria’s cultural capital, and the Austrian Azerbaijanis Society have taken a new step in strengthening international cooperation by holding an official meeting with Alexander Stangassinger, Mayor of Hallein, a city in the Salzburg region.
The meeting once again highlighted the growing influence of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Austria and its contribution to intercultural integration.
Mayor Stangassinger warmly welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation and expressed his interest and appreciation for their activities. The leaders of the Azerbaijani House and the diaspora society provided the mayor with detailed information about the Azerbaijani community living in Austria, their organization, cultural initiatives, and efforts toward integration into social life.
During the exchange of views, the sides discussed upcoming projects planned for the coming months and the main goals of the diaspora strategy. The Azerbaijani diaspora's ongoing projects particularly focus on promoting intercultural dialogue, showcasing Azerbaijani culture, and enhancing integration into Austrian society.
Mayor Stangassinger praised the diaspora’s work and underlined the importance of mutual understanding and shared values between cultures. He reaffirmed Hallein's readiness to support future cooperation and joint events.
At the end of the meeting, Azerbaijani representatives presented the mayor with symbolic gifts reflecting Azerbaijan and publications showcasing the country's history, culture, and modern development.
