Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with a North Macedonian delegation led by Afrim Gashi, President of the Assembly.
The meeting focused on bilateral and multilateral issues on the current agenda between Azerbaijan and North Macedonia, interparliamentary relations, and regional matters.
The sides praised the recent dynamic growth in high-level visits and contacts between the two countries. In this context, they emphasized the importance of meetings between the heads of state, increased dialogue between parliaments, contacts between foreign ministers, and the mechanism of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
They acknowledged the broad prospects for developing partnerships in both traditional and renewable energy sectors, as well as other key areas.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the delegation on the current regional situation in the post-conflict period, including the progress of the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the factors hindering it. He reiterated that eliminating territorial claims against Azerbaijan in Armenia’s Constitution and the official dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group and its related structures are essential steps toward achieving a peace agreement.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
