On December 16, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Igor Babushkin, Governor of Astrakhan Oblast of the Russian Federation, who is currently visiting the country.
The sides highlighted the productive cooperation between Azerbaijan and various subjects of the Russian Federation, including Astrakhan Oblast.
They also noted the significant potential for expanding collaboration in economic, trade, and investment sectors, as well as in transport-logistics, cultural-humanitarian, and educational fields.
The discussion covered the construction of a kindergarten in Gubadli district funded by the Astrakhan Oblast. They also addressed developments regarding the North-South International Transport Corridor and expressed concerns over the shallowing of the Caspian Sea.
