Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held telephone conversations with President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday evening.

In his call with President Erdoğan, the two leaders discussed the deeply concerning situation in the region following Israel’s unprovoked and unjustified aggression against Iran. They agreed that Israel's military strikes represented a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in clear contravention of the UN Charter and international law, while seriously endangering regional and global peace and stability.

Both leaders condemned Israel’s ongoing military aggression against the Palestinian people, which continues with complete impunity. They emphasized the urgent need for the international community and the United Nations to act collectively and urge Israel to immediately cease its aggressive posture and illegal actions against Iran, Palestine, and other countries in the region.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s strong and unwavering commitment to upholding international peace, security, and stability, Prime Minister Sharif stated that Pakistan would continue to play a constructive role in promoting peace—both as a member of the UN Security Council and through platforms such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During his conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s firm solidarity with the brotherly people and Government of Iran in the face of Israel’s aggression. He strongly condemned the Israeli attacks that violated Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and constituted a blatant disregard for the UN Charter and international law. The Prime Minister affirmed Iran’s inherent right to self-defense, as provided under Article 51 of the UN Charter.

Offering heartfelt condolences for the loss of innocent lives in the attacks, Prime Minister Sharif also recalled Pakistan’s support for Iran during the UN Security Council’s emergency meeting. He condemned Israel’s provocations and adventurism as a grave threat to regional and global peace and stability. The Prime Minister further denounced Israel’s ongoing genocidal campaign against the resilient Palestinian people, carried out with complete impunity.
