Tel Aviv-based startup Hirundo took first prize at the RAISE Summit’s global AI startup competition, beating over 1,100 contenders with its pioneering “machine unlearning” technology, according to the Press Service of Israel (TPS-IL). The company’s tools allow AI models to selectively forget problematic data or behaviors without retraining or losing performance.

The competition, held in Paris, is considered the largest of its kind in the AI world. Judges from OpenAI, Nvidia, Google, and Sequoia praised Hirundo’s approach to tackling bias and hallucinations in AI systems.

CEO Ben Luria called the win “a huge vote of confidence” in the company’s mission to make AI safer and more responsible.
