Azerbaijan is set to host the World Ski Mountaineering Championships for the first time in 2027, press service of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation (AZWSF) said.
According to Report, the decision was made by the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) following a proposal from the AZWSF. The championship will be held at the Shahdagh Mountain Resort in Azerbaijan and is already included in ISMF's international calendar of events.
The competition is scheduled to take place from February 28 to March 7, 2027, at the popular Shahdagh resort.
