Azerbaijan participated in the event marking International Tea Day, organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on May 21.
This year’s event, titled “Tea for a Better Life,” focused on the role of tea in promoting sustainability and well-being.
Rashad Aslanov, Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the FAO, spoke at the event, providing a detailed overview of the evolution of tea cultivation in Azerbaijan, highlighting state-supported projects and traditional practices.
The Azerbaijani exhibition stand, featuring a variety of local teas, honeys, jams, traditional sweets, and dried fruits, attracted strong interest from attendees.
FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu visited the Azerbaijani stand and sampled the national delicacies.
