Goshgar Tahmazli, Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Food Safety Agency (AQTA), met with Sergei Dankvert, head of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (“Rosselkhoznadzor”), on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The meeting discussed the possibilities of further expanding exports of agricultural products from Azerbaijan to Russia this year. The sides discussed issues related to the implementation of state control in the field of animal and plant health, as well as the current requirements for providing consumers with healthy and quality products.
The parties underscored prompt and fruitful progress on the import and export of food products to be made in an atmosphere of mutual cooperation and trust between AQTA and Rosselkhoznadzor.
