Books about Azerbaijan donated to China’s Yanshan University

A total of 32 books, covering 25 different titles on Azerbaijani culture, art, literature, history, and cuisine, have been donated to the library of Yanshan University in Qinhuangdao, China.

The donation was initiated by Sadig Gachayev, an Azerbaijani doctoral student at Yanshan University, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Azerbaijani Language at the Asian Faculty of Beijing Foreign Studies University.

During a meeting with Professor Yuan Xumei, Director of the Yanshan University Library, Sadig Gachayev was presented with a Donation Certificate.

Professor Yuan Xumei expressed gratitude to Gachayev - the only Azerbaijani student at the university - for his initiative and contribution to enriching the library’s resources. She noted that the books would help both Chinese and international students learn more about Azerbaijan.

Gachayev remarked that the donation would contribute to strengthening the friendship between Azerbaijan and China.

He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the School of Humanities and Law (School of Public Administration) of Yanshan University under a Chinese Government Scholarship.
