Starting next year, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan will completely abandon paper-based permits and switch exclusively to the exchange and issuance of electronic permit forms.
The relevant decision was adopted during a meeting of the Joint Commission on International Road Transport between the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) and the Kazakh Committee for Road Transport and Transport Control, marking the successful implementation and active use of the e-permit system.
The full digitalization of the process of exchanging and issuing permit forms will minimize administrative and operational difficulties while making a significant contribution to the organization of international transportation processes in a more transparent, faster, and more efficient manner.
The meeting, which brought together representatives of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee and the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association (ABADA), focused on the current state and development of international road freight transportation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
The meeting highlighted the increase in bilateral freight transportation volumes in recent years, emphasizing the crucial role both countries play in the international and transit transport system.
