Pakistani PM thanks Azerbaijan for solidarity and support

Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the brotherly people of Azerbaijan for their unwavering solidarity and support for Pakistan. He described Azerbaijan’s stance as a reflection of the strong friendship and brotherhood shared between the two nations.

Addressing recent developments in the region and the ceasefire agreement, Prime Minister Sharif affirmed Pakistan’s readiness to resolutely defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any future aggression.

Highlighting the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, the Prime Minister praised the ongoing positive development of bilateral cooperation. He noted that President Aliyev's historic visit to Pakistan last July marked a significant milestone, creating new opportunities for collaboration in economy, trade, and investment. Recalling his own visit to Baku in February, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further elevate relations into a robust economic partnership.

Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, in turn, emphasized that Azerbaijan and Pakistan have always stood by each other as friendly and brotherly nations. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to the relations between the two countries and highlighted the rapid development of bilateral ties in recent years.
