As part of the 2026 UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum, Azerbaijan was officially represented by ADA University students Nilgun Mammadova and Aykhan Mammadov for the first time in the United States under the UN Youth Delegates Programme.

They were also selected as youth delegates at the 2025 ECO Youth Forum held in Aghdam.

Nilgun Mammadova is the co-founder of the Femida Volunteers Organization, which has been operating since 2023 and organizes volunteer activities for young legal professionals.

As part of the forum, the youth delegates met with ECOSOC President Lok Bahadur Thapa and UN Assistant Secretary-General for Policy Coordination in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs Bjørg Sandkjær.

Over the course of one year, the youth delegates will take part in high-level international events, including meetings at UN Headquarters, deliver speeches, and actively engage in the activities of various committees.
