AzerGold CJSC hosts meeting with Chairman of Turkish company Aleks Metal Refinery

Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Executive Board of "AzerGold" CJSC, met with a Turkish delegation led by Sarp Tarhanacı, Board Chairman at Aleks Metal Refinery.

In 2025, the two companies established cooperation in the production of gold and silver coins, as well as gold bars, offered for retail sale by AzerGold CJSC.

Chairman Zakir Ibrahimov briefed the delegation on the activities of AzerGold CJSC, which is specialized in the mining sector, with the aim of familiarizing them with the company’s operations, exploring opportunities for expanding cooperation, and identifying new areas of collaboration. He noted that the company, which places a strong emphasis on environmental protection in its mining operations, contributes to the development of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector and the diversification of the national economy through the export of gold and silver to global markets. He also highlighted that the company continues to successfully operate in the retail sale of precious metals.

Since 2019, AzerGold CJSC has presented locally produced gold coin collections to the domestic retail market. These coins, distinguished by their unique designs, serve not only as reliable investment tools but also promote Azerbaijan’s history, art, cultural heritage, and national values.

In his turn, Sarp Tarhanacı gave a presentation on the activities of Aleks Metal Refinery, noting that the company conducts precious metal refining and production processes equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and machinery that comply with environmental standards. He also highlighted the company’s extensive international cooperation network, mentioning that it operates official offices in the United States, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and several European countries.

He expressed satisfaction with the collaboration with AzerGold CJSC and voiced his intention to explore new directions for expanding the partnership.

The meeting concluded with a mutual discussion on the prospects for bilateral cooperation.
