Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss future cooperation in labor and social protection field

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population hosted a meeting with Viktoriya Shegay, Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan.

Deputy Minister Hidayat Abdullayev emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are rooted in the shared historical and cultural ties of the two nations. He noted that, thanks to the efforts of the heads of state, bilateral relations have consistently improved and reached the level of a strategic partnership.

The parties underlined that cooperation between the two countries in the areas of labor, employment, and social protection is steadily expanding. Hidayat Abdullayev provided information about recent reforms in Azerbaijan, including in labor and employment policy, social protection mechanisms, the DOST concept, and the digitalization of state social services.

Viktoriya Shegay expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development of cooperation between the two countries in the social sphere. The meeting also included discussions on prospects for future collaboration in labor relations, employment, and social protection.
