A new edition of the German-language IRS-Heritage magazine - an important platform for promoting Azerbaijani realities, as well as the country’s rich culture and art abroad - has been published.
The latest edition opens with a foreword by Editor-in-Chief Musa Marjanli, focusing on Azerbaijan’s increasing authority.
According to the article, the successful political course pursued by President Iham Aliyev enabled the liberation, the restoration, and the great return processes in the country’s Garabagh region, thus contributing to strengthening Azerbaijan’s political, economic and geopolitical credibility not only in the region, but also internationally. It also highlighted Azerbaijan’s successful hosting of the COP29 Conference, efforts toward opening the Zangezur Corridor genuinely supported by the U.S., Azerbaijan’s accession to the Central Asian countries’ 5+1 cooperation format, turning the county into one of the key actors in energy supply and cargo transportation between Europe and Asia.
The issue features articles by Andrey Vasilyev highlighting Azerbaijan’s brilliant victory in the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020, the successful anti-terror operation in May 2023 putting an end to the separatist regime in the liberated territories, as well as the ongoing large-scale restoration efforts in Garabagh.
It also includes the articles focusing on the creativity of the outstanding Azerbaijani poet Mahammad Fuzuli, and its impact on the culture and literature of the Turkic World and Middle East, the history of the Azerbaijani music and the renowned Azerbaijani composers, as well as the creativity of Mirza Gadim Iravani, the renowned Azerbaijani artist.
The edition also draws the readers’ attention to the architecture and history of one of the former German settlements in Azerbaijan – the Georgsfeld settlement (1818-1941) (now Chinarli village, Shamkir district), as well as the brewery opened in Baku by Alfred von Vacano, an Austrian citizen, before the October Revolution.
