A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mamedova spoke with Ukrainian political scientist Vladislav Olenchenko about the significance of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Azerbaijan and the prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Noting the importance of the visit in the current geopolitical situation, the expert emphasized that it has not only practical but also significant symbolic significance as the first visit since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war. He noted that Azerbaijan has provided Ukraine with significant humanitarian and energy assistance, particularly during difficult periods related to problems with electricity and heating.
According to him, the format of the leaders' talks, including a one-on-one meeting, demonstrates the high level of trust between the two countries.
The guest also noted that promising areas of cooperation include protecting energy infrastructure, countering unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as joint projects in security and modern technology.
According to Olenchenko, Ukraine's willingness to share its experience and technologies in critical infrastructure protection with Azerbaijan demonstrates the high level of strategic cooperation and trust between Baku and Kyiv.
