Panel discussion on Azerbaijani literature's contributions to common Turkic literary language held in Istanbul

As part of the 42nd International Istanbul Book Fair, a panel discussion titled "The Common Turkic Literary Language in Azerbaijani Literature and Azerbaijani Literature" was held.

Moderated by Shamil Sadiq, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Publishers Association, the session featured presentations by Samir Abbasov, Director of the Azerbaijan Culture Center in Türkiye, and Seyfəddin Hüseynli, Editor-in-Chief of the "World Literature" journal of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union.

The panel aimed to promote Azerbaijani literature and highlight its contributions to the common Turkic literature and literary language.

Discussions covered Azerbaijani literature's services to Turkic world literature and the Turkic literary language, historical approaches to this process, efforts by the Azerbaijan Culture Center to promote Azerbaijani culture and literature in Türkiye, and Azerbaijan's political-historical role in forming a common Turkic language.

The session also addressed preparations for events marking the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the country's growing role as a center of the Turkic world.
