On June 19, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Moussa Abderemane, Minister of Finance, Budget and Banking Sector of the Union of the Comoros.

The sides discussed the prospects for relations of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Union of the Comoros.

They also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation, particularly within international organizations and multilateral platforms.

The parties highlighted Azerbaijan’s active role in international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Non-Aligned Movement, and other multilateral platforms, stressing the importance of mutual support and solidarity.

The meeting also included discussions on expanding cooperation opportunities in the context of the OIC Summit scheduled to be held in 2027.

The officials stressed the importance of further strengthening relations within the framework of South-South cooperation and hailed Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote collaboration with least developed countries through this platform.
