Participants of the 1st Meeting of the Heads of State Bodies Responsible for Religious Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan’s city of Shusha, visited the Alley of Honors and Victory Park in Baku on June 29.

The delegation paid tribute to National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, by laying a wreath at his grave.

They also laid flowers at the graves of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva, distinguished statesman Aziz Aliyev, and renowned physician and scientist Tamerlan Aliyev.

The participants then visited Victory Park and laid a wreath at the Victory Monument. The guests were briefed on the significance of the park, which was established to commemorate the unparalleled heroism of the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War, honor the memory of the martyrs, and preserve the legacy of the nation's historic victory.
